Spring 2026 Listing Period Overview

The DABS conducts structured listing cycles to evaluate new products and manage existing assortments in alignment with store space, consumer demand, and category performance. The Spring 2026 listing period will include both listing and delisting activity for select categories. These processes are designed to support a healthy, balanced assortment while creating opportunities for innovation, premiumization, and emerging trends.

What DABS Will Deliver

  • Data-Informed Category Review
Listing and delisting decisions are grounded in objective performance data, category health indicators, and space constraints, consistent with industry best practices.
  •  Transparency and Consistency
Evaluation frameworks, timelines, and expectations are clearly communicated so suppliers and brokers understand how decisions are made.
  • Balanced Assortment Management
Reviews are conducted with the goal of managing underperforming items, maintaining appropriate SKU counts, and creating space for new and differentiated products.
  • Adherence to Timelines
The DABS is committed to executing listing and delisting activity according to the timelines published for each cycle.

What We Ask of Vendors/Suppliers/Brokers

Focused, High-Quality Submissions
Vendors/suppliers are encouraged to submit only their strongest new item proposals within the focus categories. Submitting large numbers of items does not improve selection outcomes and may dilute evaluation quality.

Alignment with Category Needs
Successful submissions clearly articulate how the item strengthens the category, fills an assortment gap, or addresses a specific consumer or pricing opportunity.

Spring 2026 Focus Categories

  •  Beer
  • Cider
  • RTDs (spirits- and wine-based canned cocktails, FMB)
  • Soju
  • Vodka
  • Alternate Spirits Sizes (200/375mL, 1/1.75L)
  • Wine Small Package
  • Domestic White Wines
  • International White Wines

The DABS will conduct both a delisting and a listing process for these categories. Opportunities for item “trades” may be considered.

Suppliers may submit items outside of these focus categories; however, such submissions should include clear rationale explaining the item’s relevance and timing for consideration as an out-of-cycle exception.

Evaluation Framework

Item evaluations may consider a combination of the following performance indicators, as applicable by category:

  • Dollar sales performance
  • Sales productivity relative to distribution
  • Year-over-year performance trend
  • Category, price band, and subcategory dynamics

  •

Additional qualitative factors – such as assortment balance, space constraints, and strategic fit – are also considered.
