COMMISSION MEETINGS

Utah DABS safely and efficiently serves our patrons and supports Utah's economy and tourism. The Alcoholic Beverage Services Commission holds public meetings each month. Meeting agendas are posted to the state’s Utah Public Meeting website 24-hours in advance. Meeting minutes and audio recordings from previous meetings can also be found there. Topics typically covered in each meeting include a financial update, operations update, licensee recognitions, new applicants and pubic comment among others.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Multi-Agency State Office Building in Salt Lake City.

Members of the public can watch meetings on YouTube. To participate in the public comment period, members of the public can attend the meeting virtually. To attend virtually, email hotline@utah.gov requesting Zoom access and include your name, city, affiliation/organization (if applicable) and question topic. 

MEET THE COMMISSION

The Alcoholic Beverage Services Commission is comprised of seven part-time members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the state Senate. The commission shall act as the general policymaking body on the subject of alcoholic product control and services. The commission sets policy and makes rules, is responsible for the issuance of licenses and permits and the suspension or revocation of existing licenses for infractions of the law.

As a commission they act as a governing board in reviewing the activities of the DABS staff on the day to day operations of the department.
