FY 2026 Purchasing & Merchandising Calendar

A fiscal year is a one-year period that is used to provide budgets and financial reports. The state of Utah’s fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th. The fiscal year is commonly referred to using the latter of the two calendar years. For example, fiscal year 2025-26 is referred to as fiscal year 2026 or FY 2026.

Ongoing Deadlines and Schedules

New Item Listings

  • Published:  July 1 (Fall) & January 1 (Spring)
  • Submissions Due:  July 31 & January 30
  • Samples Requested:  Aug 15 & February 13
  • Decisions Finalized:  September 2 & March 2
  • Inventory Due:  October 1 & April 1

Monthly SPAs

  • Price Changes Due:  3rd Wednesday of each month, 3 months prior
  • Inventory Due in Warehouse:  10th of month prior

Price Changes

  • General Distribution Price Changes Due:  3rd Wednesday of each month, 3 months prior
  • Limited Distribution Price Changes Due: 3rd Wednesday of the month prior

Seasonal Limited Time Offers

  • Fall/Winter Holidays:  Submissions due July 31
  • Spring/Summer Holidays:  Submissions due January 30
  • Inventory Due:  1st of month prior to feature

Value-Added Products (VAPs)

  • Submissions due 15th, 2 months prior to promo period

Merchandising Display Program (POD)

  • Submissions Due:  1st day, 3 months prior to display period
  • Decision Communicated:  1st day, 2 months prior
  • POS and Inventory Due: 15th day, 1 month prior
